Granny’s Blackberry Pie
6 cups fresh blackberries
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 cup white sugar
1 Tbsp lemon juice
2 unbaked pie crusts
2 Tbsp butter, cut into cubes
1 Tbsp milk
1 Tbsp white sugar
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F., 220 degrees C. Mix together flour and sugar.
Mix together blackberries with flour sugar mixture; stir in lemon juice.
Roll out both pie crusts. Place bottom crust in pie plate. Spoon berry mixture into unbaked pie shell; dot with butter. Cover with top crust. Seal and crimp edges; cut slits in top crust for ventilation. Brush top crust with milk, and sprinkle with sugar.
Place pie on baking sheet; bake for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 375 degrees F., 190 degrees C; bake for an additional 40 to 45 minutes, or until berries bubble up and crust is golden brown.
Remove from oven, let cool and serve with whipped topping or ice cream or not. Make your own family favorite today! Enjoy!
